Last Vertex: Idle Defense · last updated 18 October 2026

Last Vertex: Idle Defense ("the game") is made by an independent developer. This page explains what data the game handles. In short: the game does not sell personal data. Your save is uploaded only if you turn on Cloud Save. The Android app also uses Google services for optional rewarded ads and for anonymous usage statistics and crash reports, all described below.

Data stored on your device

Your progress (coins, gems, upgrades, tattoos, settings, quest and achievement state) is saved on your device, in the storage of the app. Unless you turn on Cloud Save (see below), it is never uploaded to the developer or anyone else. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes the copy on your device. Android's own phone backup, if you have it turned on, may also keep a copy of this data in your own Google account; that is controlled by you in your phone's settings, not by the developer.

Cloud Save (optional)

Cloud Save is off by default. If you turn it on in Settings, the game creates an anonymous player account and uploads a copy of your game progress so you can restore it on another device. Optionally you can add your email address to that account; it is used only to sign you in with a one-time code and to recover your save, never for marketing.

What is stored on the server: a random player ID, your game progress, the time it was last saved and, if you add one, your email address. Nothing else about you or your device is sent.

This data is stored with our backend provider, Supabase, on servers in Frankfurt, Germany (EU). It is kept until you delete it. To delete your cloud account and everything stored with it, open Settings → Cloud Save → Delete Cloud Data in the game; the deletion is immediate and permanent, and the save on your device is kept. Turning Cloud Save off only stops syncing on that device; it does not delete the copy on the server. If you can no longer open the game (for example you lost the phone), see how to request deletion.

Ads (Android app)

The Android app shows optional rewarded video ads: you choose to watch one to receive a reward. The ads are provided by Google AdMob. To show and measure them, Google may use your device's advertising ID and collect technical data such as your IP address, device model and how you interact with ads. Where the law requires it (for example in the EU, the UK and Turkey) the game first asks for your consent with Google's consent form, and you can change that choice later in Settings (Ad Privacy Options). You can also reset your advertising ID or turn off ad personalization in your phone's Google settings. See how Google uses data from ads. The browser version has no ads.

Usage statistics and crash reports (Android app)

The Android app uses Google's Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to learn how the game is played and where it breaks. What is collected: a few game events (for example a run started or ended with its tier, wave and duration, a tier unlocked, a summon, a daily reward or ad reward claimed, Cloud Save turned on), error and crash reports, and technical data such as device model, Android version, app version, language, approximate region and an app-instance ID that is not linked to your name or email. Your Cloud Save account is not linked to these statistics. Nothing is collected before the consent flow (the same Google consent form as the ads) has finished, and you can turn it off at any time in Settings (Usage Stats). The browser version collects none of this.

Other tracking

The game does not use cookies, location, contacts, the camera or the microphone, and it does not track you across other apps or websites beyond what the ad and statistics services above do.

Network requests

In the Android app the game files are stored inside the app. In the browser version the game is loaded from the developer's website (hosted on GitHub Pages). To keep in-game timers fair, the game reads the current time from that website when you open it. If you turn on Cloud Save it also connects to Supabase, as described above. Like any website, the hosting provider (GitHub, Inc.) may record technical request data such as your IP address in its server logs; see GitHub's privacy statement. The developer does not have access to these logs.

Notifications

In the Android app the game can show reminders (for example when your idle income is full or a daily reward is ready). They are scheduled on your device only; nothing is sent to a server. You can turn them off in Settings or in your phone's notification settings.

Bug reports and feedback

The bug button opens a Google Form in your browser. Sending it is optional. The form includes basic technical information about your game (game version, phone model, browser version, screen size and your graphics setting and progress) to help find bugs, plus anything you choose to write. Do not include personal information you don't want to share. Forms are handled by Google under Google's privacy policy; the developer only uses the answers to fix bugs and improve the game.

Gift codes

Gift codes are checked entirely on your device; nothing is sent when you redeem one.

Children

The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal data (for example an email address for Cloud Save), write to the contact address below and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes (for example if new online features are added), this page will be updated and the date above will change.
